Asia Pacific

Home to two of the most rapidly growing powerhouse economies in the world, the Asia Pacific region is drawing a great deal of attention from businesses hindered only by a lack of understanding about Asian cultures and markets. AIESEC’s ability to generate understanding and knowledge is supporting the development of future leaders that can give direction in their communities with one eye on the rapid economic growth and the other on rising social issues like HIV/AIDS and population growth.

AIESEC Member Committees cooperated in the Heroes Project, a regional program directed towards incubating entrepreneurial talent in Asia Pacific and around which 140 exchanges and 50 events were realized.

With this project we are addressing 2 specific issues namely:
       1. Business Market Expansion and
       2. HIV/AIDS

To highlight one example of the diversity of work done by AIESEC Committees in Asia Pacific, a program around HIV/AIDS awareness in Malaysia was run by AIESEC and Standard Chartered Bank that generated more than 50 events, 29 exchanges, a documentary created by UNICEF, and two others aired on television.
