A word from the current VPER

Hearing about External Relations you might think that it consists of boring business contracts and unfriendly phone calls, but you are mistaken. As a VPER in AIESEC you get the rare chance to have an inside view into the business world. You are able to develop yourself and your team as businessmen and -women at a young age, where we still have the possibility to make mistakes. Mainly the work is based on managing relationships with stakeholders outside the LC: companies, partner organizations, alumni and media. You build up new partnerships and networks by selling the AIESEC internship programm, by arranging sponsoring for AIESEC or by any other possible collaboration. As a sales representative of the LC Zurich you must be aware of its needs and wishes, which is why you keep close contact to all the other departments in the Local Committee. You have the possibility to try out new selling strategies and to give selling trainings to the organizational teams of projects in AIESEC Zurich. Being VPER also means that you are responsible for the alumni relations in Zurich. The alumni are an important source of information and knowledge. This means that you attend the regular alumni encounters and you keep in contact with them..

As VPER you not only get the possibility to improve on your selling and organizational skills but you have the unique chance to have a piece of everything. You will be able to give trainings, to lead a team, to sell, to make deals and last but not least to get personal contacts which might be helpful for your future career. You have the opportunity to be seen as the face of the LC Zurich in front of companies.
