Global Alumni Reunion in Brazil

What can our sustainable leadership also be? What does it mean to be an AIESEC alumni? Which projects would you, as AIESEC alumni, like to be involved in or lead? Which connections to AIESEC members would you like to have?

How is this amazing network of driven, creative, and fun individuals going to connect to drive change?

These are just some of the questions that will emerge when 650 AIESEC members, over 200 AIESEC alumni, and around 100 AIESEC partners and supporters gather on 22-24 August in São Paulo, Brazil in a historic effort to connect the global network of AIESEC alumni.

Do not miss the chance to connect, enjoy, and project into the future at the global 60th anniversary event of AIESEC!

See you there,

I am an AIESEC alumni

Letter from Ken Morse

"AIESEC teaches us about the importance of sales and selling. One of the most important AIESEC sales calls I ever made took place in 1969. We needed computer time to do the exchange on one of the biggest IBM 360 computers at the time (smaller than a big PC today).
There were only 4 such computers in all of Japan. Hiro Kinashi, Ryosuke Tamakoshi, Yoko Otake and I waited in the hallway to give our 55 second "elevator pitch" to a very big guy as he moved from one big room to another on the top floor of that impressive building.
We must have rehearsed 20 times. We were scared to death, as we waited for our big moment. His nasty aides didn't want us to see him, but he--being a big guy-- was generous and kind, once we caught his eye. He listened.
We started with what was the benefit to the world, and then to his company (The New Japan Steel Corporation). That day he was presiding over the merger of the Fuji and Yawata Steel companies - quite a ceremony.
We were awkward, but sincere. We were passionate and confident that our little AIESEC organization was worthy of support from his huge organization. We made the big "Ask," and... he said "YES"!
Then he told his aides to help us, and to make it happen. All in just 2-3 minutes. With computer time assured, the Tokyo International Congress went ahead, and was a huge success under Tamakoshi-san's leadership. Now he's the king of a big bank.

As I congratulate you all today, I want to thank you, and AIESEC, from the bottom of my heart, for giving me the chance to learn about selling.
And I thank you also for the honor of your friendship which is as strong today as it was in 1969, almost 40 years ago."
