Poland, 2006 - Frank Ireri is sure that AIESEC not only shaped his character, but also his future. In the same way, Frank did not only make an impact in AIESEC while he was a member, but continues to contribute.

Frank was part of the Member Committee of AIESEC in Kenya as the Vice President Finance and during this year, took major steps to improve the governance and accountability measures in the organization. Currently, he is the Chairman and longest serving member of the Board of Advisors of AIESEC Kenya.

His experience from his year on the Member Committee and from his AIESEC internship in Finland, set him up for starting a successful career in the banking industry.

This career includes numerous senior positions in some of the most respected Financial Institutions in Kenya. Before being appointed in his current role, he was the Senior Country Operations Officer in Citibank Kenya, General Manager, Finance and Operations in the Commercial Bank of Africa and the Head of Barclaycard, Kenya in Barclays Bank.

His support of AIESEC does not end with his role on the Board of Advisors and connecting AIESEC with his corporate networks.

Frank is a strategic advisor and a mentor to the current Member Committee and has personally sponsored their annual initiatives and attendance of international conferences. It is largely thanks to Frank, that the AIESEC in Kenya alumni association has been revived.
Frank is also a co-founder and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Secondary Education Trust for Mukuru Kwa Njenga, giving disadvantaged children access to a good education.

We are proud to induct Frank Ireri into the AIESEC Alumni Hall of Fame, as a role model and an inspiration to our members and as a prime example of the impact that AIESEC has on the world through the individuals it develops.
