Apart from Alan's role on AIESEC Canada's Board of Directors, he acts as an incredible mentor to our entire national team and we couldn't be more proud!"

- John Kelly,
President, AIESEC Canada

Turkey, 2007 - Results and involvement are two key themes in Alan’s involvement with AIESEC both as an active member and as alumnus. During his time at AIESEC at the London School of Economics the local committee alone realized 200 internships, and he lead an innovative initiative to generate the necessary revenue for his LC by organizing charter travel for outgoing interns. When he chose to move to Canada after four years working in the advertising business in the UK, he started a career “across the pond” that took him through the corporate sector as well as into academia related to business.

But his life was not just about building a formidable career, results and involvement are also what characterize his continued engagement with AIESEC in Canada to this day. He was not only instrumental in the reestablishment of AIESEC York at the Schulich School of Business, but also makes sure that the Local Committee has the necessary support through coaching, training and mentoring to succeed. With further focus on results, Alan supported three different Local Committees to organize events to attract attention from and capitalize on corporate organizations.

Over the years, Alan has not only provided AIESEC in Canada with important contacts, but he has always made it a point to speak about AIESEC whenever appropriate in the speeches and lectures he is invited to give. Today, involvement and results in Alan’s involvement with AIESEC mean that he is part of AIESEC in Canada’s Board of Directors, and contributes in the creation of AIESEC in Canada’s new strategic plan until 2010. Alan’s impressive involvement in a host of NGOs and councils shows that results and involvement not only mark his engagement with AIESEC as member and alumnus, but also as the change agent he is.
