"Ehaab has consistently persevered in making Egypt a better place through continuous involvement in relevant social issues, establishing NGOs, and pioneering development projects."
- Annika Rudback,
President, AIESEC Egypt
Turkey, 2007 - Intense involvement in AIESEC combined with admirable drive and belief have proven to be ingredients for a future change agent. Ehaab exemplifies the change agent who does not accept the status quo and goes further than the rest.
Shortly after leaving AIESEC, Ehaab founded and became the first president of Fat'het Kheir, an NGO promoting an innovative model in community development. Only three years later, Ehaab created the organization he currently leads from success to success: Nahdet El Mahrousa, a pioneer Egyptian organization which mainly targets resourceful and educated young Egyptians and empowers them through its innovative incubator model for development projects. Currently Nahdet El Mahrousa has 300 active members engaged in dierent projects in the Nahdet El Mahrousa incubator, which in turn is addressing a wider community of youth, students, and other beneficiaries throughout the country. Within the coming 5 years, Nahdet El Mahrousa’s aspiration is to reach a wider circle of members and beneficiaries in excess of 1 Million youth based in Egypt and outside. Nahdet El Mahrousa also seeks to professionalize and revolutionize Egyptian youth civil society. In order to contribute to strengthening the Egyptian civil society and serving larger numbers of young Egyptians, Nahdet El Mahrousa took the lead in establishing the Federation of Egyptian Youth NGOs, the legal umbrella for all Egyptian Youth NGOs. It has also recently been requested by the League of Arab States to provide the technical support to launch a Network of Arab Youth NGOs.
In addition to his busy schedule, Ehaad does not miss a single opportunity to get AIESEC involved or profiled through the work he does, and certainly his profile as Ashoka Fellow and widely requested speaker on developmental issues show the world the kind of change agents that emerge from AIESEC. Three years ago he has also had his debut concert in Cairo. He writes and sings contemporary alternative Egyptian related to his development mission.
